Head Bartender

Responsibilities:

  • Crafting classic and creative alcohol and non-alcohol beverages

  • Efficiently and accurately process customer orders using the point-of-sale system

  • Engaging with customers and ensuring every guest has a memorable experience

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all glassware, utensils, and bar tools are sanitized and readily available.

  • Adhering to and enforcing safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage or ingredients

  • Overseeing other bartenders and bar operations

  • Leading staff trainings and orienting new bartenders

  • Managing inventory, including beverage stock and rotation

  • Work with management to organize work schedules and ensure appropriate coverage of all shifts

  • Work closely with team members, including POS/runners, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience. Provide support during busy periods and assist in other areas of establishment when needed

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years experience as a bartender in a reputable establishment, demonstrating proficiency in crafting a wide variety of cocktails and beverages

  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, including a comprehensive understanding of various spirits, ingredients, and techniques.

  • Experience in purchasing and receiving of alcohol inventory

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and connect with customers

  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with customers, take orders, and collaborate effectively with team members

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff

  • Excellent multitasking abilities to handle fast-paced, high-pressure situations

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and cash handling

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as ServSafe Alcohol, TIPS or equivalent is a plus.

Benefits:

  • $20-22/hr

  • Pay will be re-evaluated after 60 days with possibility for increase based off restaurant bar sales

  • Accrued paid sick leave at a rate of 1hr per 30 hrs worked
